Brand Storytelling & Marketing

I’m Elizabeth Lord, a brand storyteller and fractional marketing partner. I help founders and small businesses move beyond a great idea or logo and build a clear brand story and marketing plan at every touchpoint—so their website, social, email, and experiences finally work together.

My path...

My Background

20+ Years Transforming Brands from Uninspired to Unforgettable

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and customer experience—partnering with founders, business owners, and developers to turn raw ideas into brands that inspire, engage, and endure.

I’ve sat inside large corporations and scrappy start‑ups, and the pattern is always the same: budgets may be different, but the pain points aren’t. Branding and marketing are complex, constantly shifting, and easy to get wrong. When they’re fragmented or reactive, they quietly burn through time and money without delivering the results you need.

My Purpose

My purpose is to help founders and growing businesses turn a great idea into a living, breathing brand - one that shows up clearly and consistently at every touchpoint, not just in a logo or tagline. I care about the moment your customer finally “gets” who you are and feels confident choosing you.

I believe every business has a deeper story: a reason it exists, the people it serves, and the change it creates. My work is to uncover that story, shape it into simple, powerful language, and weave it into your website, social presence, emails, experiences, and operations so it’s felt—not just seen.

More than delivering a strategy deck, I want to leave you with a shared narrative and practical tools your whole team can use. When your story is clear and your marketing is aligned, you save time, stretch your budget further, and build relationships that actually last. That’s the kind of impact I’m here for.

My Difference

My difference is the way I combine big‑picture strategy with hands‑on storytelling and execution. I don’t just define what your brand could be; I help you express it clearly across every touchpoint so customers actually feel the difference when they interact with you.

I’m committed to intentional, values‑driven branding and marketing that fits the realities of a growing business—your budget, your team, your timeline. Whether I’m leading the work or partnering with your in‑house talent, my role is to bring focus, structure, and momentum so your next chapter becomes more than another campaign. It becomes a cohesive brand experience that’s recognized, remembered, and genuinely valued by the people you serve. I work for you. Part time. On purpose.

New Brand Development

brand strategy + identity + launch

Development of a new corporate entity that had to stay aligned with the parent brand while also standing on its own in highly competitive markets against leading national players. This included ground‑up brand creation—covering all creative, brand strategy, market research, and a fully integrated launch.

Community Engagement

Birkdale Village Fourth of July Event

I worked with Elizabeth Lord when she was responsible for the daunting task of marketing Birkdale Village in its infancy. Beth was an integral part of why Birkdale Village became such a community center for the Huntersville area.

She planned and executed major events as well as regular smaller events to keep Birkdale as a desirable destination. As a direct result of her work, we saw thousands of people for the annual treelightings, and Fourth of July events.

I can attest to the programming and events that contributed to the soul of the place. Not everyone can pull off large scale events, but Beth is up to the task! "

This Lowcountry Launch party, held at an $11M estate in Hilton Head, SC is a great example of partnerships that support the marketing budget.

Strategic Events

Lowcountry Launch

“One of the loveliest events we have attended. This estate, overlooking the marsh at sunset in Hilton Head was a true reflection of the Christie's brand of real estate. The home, valued at over $11M, was exceptional and, it showcased both the residence and the brokerage extremely well. So "on brand" and a great opportunity for area Realtors to network!

Partnership Marketing

Guided Luxury Magazine - 5 Editions

Secured this partnership with Guided Luxury Magazine to provide the Blackstream Christie's International Real Estate brokerage with a bespoke, premium product focused on buying, selling, and relocating.  Each edition, reflective of the regions of the Carolinas served, was a high-quality publication developed at no cost to the brokerage. Researched and written in-house, each publication was one of the primary selling tools for agents from each office.

End-to-End Marketing Leadership

Project Launches - The Wharf

“My experience with Elizabeth 'Beth' Lord, while relatively brief, was sufficient to recognize that when it comes to positioning, selling, promoting, and growing a product or project, she provides the whole package.

The Wharf was an expansive, multifaceted project that included a mix of condominium, retail, and entertainment assets - all new builds coming out of the ground in rapid succession.

Beth was able to blend these elements seamlessly - from ad messaging and product integration to spectacular grand opening events to ongoing public relations and community outreach. She is thoughtful, creative, energetic, thoroughly schooled in real estate, hospitality, and consumer marketing, a wonderfully gifted writer and a joy with whom to work..”

Brand Development

Verbal Branding - Addison Whitney

“Beth has been such a pleasure to work with at Addison Whitney. She is an extremely resourceful team player who's always willing to lend a hand, and her extensive marketing experience has been an advantage in numerous business situations. Her positive attitude and "can-do" mentality, along with a natural ability to mentor others, make her a valuable asset to any team.” — Emily Hassell Rund, Senior Director, Ankura

"I had the genuine pleasure of working with Beth at Addison Whitney, a top-tier branding agency, in 2012, and my only regret is that I didn't get to enjoy her talent and company longer! Her bright smile and helpful attitude were bright spots in our department every single day. She never hesitated to offer to help her coworkers (or me), even if that meant staying late into the evening, and there was nothing she would not do to contribute to the success of the firm, whether it was part of her job description or not. She's also one of the most talented consumer brand namers with whom I've worked." - Tiffany Jonas, Principal, AIO Group, LLC

"Beth has an amazing creative vision when it comes to branding and marketing. Her ideas are fresh and innovative, and she is not afraid to think outside the box. She is a dedicated employee and a pleasure to work with." - Brittany Scott, Executive Director, Fingerprint Branding (Leaderboard)
